More About Our Goat Milk Soap
Lily, "out standing" in her field!
|
Goat milk soap is simply divine! Your skin benefits greatly from the vitamins (A, B, C, D), minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium), proteins and the ph level that is very close to that of our human skin. No water is added to our soap, leaving you with a creamy longer lasting product to enjoy!
We make our soaps the cold process method using our goat's milk as our primary ingredient. Ingredient list for our Goat Milk Soap- (saponified) goat milk, olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, castor oil, exfoliants (such as oatmeal- if any named on the individual bar), essential or fragrance oil (if any named on the individual bar) and mica (if bar is colored). Soaps weigh a minimum of 4.5 ounces each. Because our soap is hand made, no two bars will ever be exactly the same. Please allow for slight variances. Lye, also known as sodium hydroxide, is a necessary ingredient in making soap. A chemical reaction, called saponification, occurs with the goats milk, oils and butters, and lye. The result in our soap is a moisturizing gentle bar of soap with natural glycerin. This glycerin is usually extracted in commercial soaps, that most often leave your skin dry, itchy, and tight. Our soap contains ALL of the glycerin- leaving your skin soft, moisturized, and clean. Sorry, no International orders at this time. |
Other Tidbits
Some good things must come to an end. One of those good things is our soap. Please keep in mind we do not add any preservatives to our soap and they will not last forever. Don't make soap a family heirloom-use it, enjoy it, buy more of it. :)
Vanilla, found in many essential and fragrance oils, causes soaps to be colored dark brown. Dark brown soaps may have tan lather- still does a great job cleaning (doesn't affect cleaning ability whatsoever) and nourishing your skin. Use care when using your light colored wash clothes.
Using a soap dish or soap saver will help your soap last longer. Avoid leaving your soap in the tub/ shower and keep it out of the water stream when not in use.
If you are pregnant, please visit with your medical expert regarding using any product with essential oils.
For external use only.
Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Answers to Your Questions
Are your soaps Vegan?
Because all our soaps are made with goat milk, they are not considered Vegan. Be assured though, our Dairy Divas live a life of goat luxury. There is an all you can eat buffet, all the time (when you are a dairy goat, a large mid-section is all the rage and the "depth of barrel" wins blue ribbons at goat shows). The buffet includes great quality hay (coastal, alfalfa, and sudan) as well as baking soda and minerals in addition to fresh grass and tree leaves that grow in the pasture, which the dairy divas have access to all the time). There's an open bar of fresh clean cool water, which is spiked with gatoraid as needed. On cold winter evenings, the divas enjoy sipping warm water and honey while their zebra inspired blankets are put on for added warmth. Every milker enjoys an udder massage at each milking and monthly manicures are a must for all. The Divas have 24 security, provided by Bub, the Livestock Guardian Dog.
Are all of your soaps scented with Essential Oils?
While we offer a variety of essential oil soaps, we also offer deliciously scented soaps made with fragrance oils. In our opinion, man made does not always mean bad, and there are some WONDERFUL scents that we would not be able to offer if we limited ourselves to just essential oils. All fragrance oils are tested and are skin safe.
