Cambrie visited the characters of Oz. She enjoyed seeing the wicked witch as well - did not scare her one bit. The salute cracks me up here. I had a counselor a meeting at the church and when I finished I was happy to find a youn lady reading in the library! The girls made a blanket at GA's today. All original artwork and they chose bible verses to tell the story. I am thankful for a church that provides opportunities for our people to reach others in the world. I am thankful for the hard working volunteers who show up faithfully every week to teach! We found the Gone with the Wind museum in Cleburne, TX. It was closed when we rolled by, but we snapped some pics of the beautiful murals outside! We will be back to check it out. Cambrie and I made a birdhouse at one of those Lowes Saturday morning craft events. We had a wonderful time making it, came home and hung it on the porch. Two months later, a bird started making a nest in the house. A week later we found two eggs. The roof has a swivel where one side can swing open for a peak. Took a daytrip down to Waco at the original Dr Pepper bottling facility. Great visit, short stop, best fountain drink in Texas! Mackenzie does so many different things around the place. Woodwork/carpentry, baking, education, farm work. We discussed the "renessaince man" concept today. Girls are taking up archery. Cambrie us pretty good / she found the bullseye a few times. Mackenzie is calm as she draws the bow. We are using Genesis mini bows to start. Good quality and let's us adjust the pressure for both girls. |
