Took the family to see my cousin Raymond sing with the Blackwood Quartet. Ben Porstmout was the Elvia impersonator and he did a fine job with a live band backing him. Highlight of the evening was connecting with Raymond. He finished the show, headed back to Memphis, and was in NYC within days!

Grandma and grandpa Hagan came to Texas and snuck in the VBS final production on Sunday evening. They surprises Cambrie and Mackenzie after the performance! Daniels family tradition to stop at Gerik's Bakery in West, TX. They have the best kolaches - cottage cheese, cream cheese, apple, and all kinds of treats. The piano behind the girls was made in 1896! We also visited the Czech Stop on the way home Ted Courson's birthday surprise was successfully pulled off at the Columbia restaurant. Skeeter & Ashley were in hand with Cooper. Howe & Deb made it as well. Grandpa Hagan surprised the girls by showing up in Fort Worth for the VBS final performance. Mackenzie had a speaking part in the production. Woody is a hard working student - he will be graduating this fall. He's a sharp student and will go far in his career. I am thankful for his time and volunteer work. The entire class lined up for a picture. The Parker 4-H team took 2nd place in quiz bowl! Dr Joyce Jeffries is such a blessing - she always greets us with a warm greeting when we come to campus. She is a wonderful person, a great role model, and a gifted professor. I am thankful for our friendship! Scott Horner leads the International Goat Research Centet. He discusses livestock judging with the Parker County 4-H team. We had some fantastic BBQ at the County Line in Waller, TX. Pulled pork and brisket were delicious. We visited Buc-ees too! We went to Prairie View, TX for the goat day activities. We took livestock exams, judging contest, quiz bowl, and workshops. |
